The Muslim Brotherhood Has Earned Its Terrorist Designation

The Muslim Brotherhood Has Earned Its Terrorist Designation

By Cynthia Farahat

In an April 11 Brookings Institution report titled “Is the Muslim Brotherhood a terrorist organization?” senior fellow Shadi Hamid states that the Trump administration’s proposed designation of the Muslim Brotherhood as a terrorist group “could have significant consequences for the U.S., the Middle East, and the world.”

Contrary to the wishful thinking of the Obama administration, the Muslim Brotherhood cannot be appeased.

Among many astounding claims in the report, the three most misleading among them begin with his statement that the Muslim Brotherhood is a “non-violent Islamist group,” that “there is not a single American expert on the Muslim Brotherhood who supports designating it as a Foreign Terrorist Organization,” and that President Trump’s advisors were enlisting Americans in what Mr. Hamid calls “civilization struggle.”

First, there is overwhelming evidence that the Muslim Brotherhood is indeed a violent terrorist organization. The Brotherhood’s slogan is “‘Allah is our objective; the Prophet is our leader; the Quran is our law; Jihad is our way; dying in the way of Allah is our highest hope.”

There is overwhelming evidence that the Muslim Brotherhood is indeed a terrorist organization.

Thus, it shouldn’t come as a surprise that nearly every Sunni terrorist group in the world was either fully or partially founded by active or former Brotherhood operatives.

Brotherhood-linked terrorist organizations include ISIS, al-Qaeda, Hamas, and al-Gama’at al-Islamiyya.

Moreover, the Brotherhood also has active militias such as the “95 Brigade,” a Brotherhood terrorist group founded in 1995, which is currently operating under the direction of the Brotherhood Guidance office. The Brotherhood also has a well-funded transnational multi-lingual propaganda machine, which makes it more dangerous.

In a series of interviews with al-Jazeera TV, Osama Yassin, a minister in former President Mohammed Morsi’s cabinet, revealed that the 95 Brigade engaged in the abduction, beating, and torture of “thugs” and threw Molotov cocktails at its opponents.

Osama Yassin (left) and Safwat Hegazy

The brigade’s operatives were also implicated in the killing of anti-Brotherhood protestors. In March 2014, for example, two Brotherhood operatives were sentenced to death after an online video clip showed them killing a teenager by throwing him from a building.

Under Mr. Morsi’s leadership, current Brotherhood leaders were personally involved in torture. During an interview with al-Jazeera TV in 2011, Brotherhood leader Safwat Hegazy bragged about his involvement in torturing a man whom he suspected was a police officer.

Egyptian Ambassador to Venezuela Yehyia Najm is among the numerous victims of what is known in Egypt as the “Brotherhood’s Slaughterhouses.” Ambassador Najm stated that the room where he was held captive and tortured with 49 other people, was “like a Nazi camp.” This is Mr. Shadi Hamid’s idea of a “non-violent group.”

Second, Mr. Hamid’s claim that there are no American experts on the Muslim Brotherhood who support its designation as a terror group, is wrong. The Middle East Forum, one of the America’s most renowned think tanks that specializes in Middle East and Islamic terrorism studies, supports the Brotherhood’s terror designation. Also, Mr. Trump’s advisor, Walid Phares, one of America’s most respected experts on Islamic terrorism and the Middle East, supports the Brotherhood’s terror designation. Andrew C. McCarthy III, former assistant U.S. attorney for the Southern District of New York, who led the 1995 terrorism prosecution against Sheikh Omar Abdel Rahman and 11 others, also supports the Brotherhood terror designation. Yet, Mr. Hamid chooses to ignore them, as he also chooses to ignore other facts.

Brotherhood-linked terrorist organizations include al-Qaeda, ISIS, and Hamas.

Third, Mr. Hamid claimed that, “This language works to enlist Americans to join the “civilizational struggle” — an idea once reserved for those from the farthest fringes of the far right in the United States, now held by people in the very center of American power: the White House.”

Mr. Hamid may have borrowed the term “civilization struggle,” or “A’mali Jihadia Hadaria” (civilization jihad operation), from the Muslim Brotherhood’s International Apparatus. The nihilistic term first appeared in a 1991 document titled “The Explanatory Memorandum,” which outlined the Muslim Brotherhood’s strategic goals for North America. This memorandum was entered as evidence in the Holy Land Foundation terror funding trial in 2008, the largest terror financing case in U.S. history.

This wouldn’t be the first time the Brookings Institution engaged in misleading disinformation on behalf of the Muslim Brotherhood. For example, a Brookings Institution article stated that the fourth of the Muslim Brotherhood’s 10 thawabet (precepts) in its bylaws specified that “during the process of establishing democracy and relative political freedom, the Muslim Brotherhood is committed to abide by the rules of democracy and its institutions.”

Hamid’s report was published by the Qatar-financed Brookings Institution.

This is a bold misrepresentation of the fourth precept. According to the Brotherhood’s own standards and internal bylaws, the fourth precept is violent jihad and martyrdom, which the Brotherhood states is an obligation of every individual Muslim, as well as the collective obligation of their organization.

There is a civilization jihad or struggle as Mr. Hamid called it, but it’s waged against America and the Western world by the very people he is defending. To answer Mr. Hamid’s question as to whether the Muslim Brotherhood is a terrorist organization, the answer is yes, indeed it is a terrorist organization.

Mr. Trump’s administration needs to designate the Muslim Brotherhood as a terror group. Congress should also require think tanks to disclose any foreign funding received while lobbying Congress. These financial disclosures will help combat disinformation campaigns targeting lawmakers, including reports like Mr. Hamid’s.

Muslim Brotherhood 101: Why the State Dept Should Ban Them

Muslim Brotherhood 101: Why the State Dept Should Ban Them

Clarion Project launches a new campaign to demand the Muslim Brotherhood be designated a terrorist entity in the United States.

Who is the Muslim Brotherhood?

The Muslim Brotherhood (Al-Ihkwan al-Muslimun) is a Sunni, pan-Islamic organization based in Cairo, Egypt whose ultimate aim is the re-establishment of the global Islamic caliphate and the implementation of sharia as state law. Founded in Egypt in 1928 it is the oldest Islamist group in the world and along with Jamaat e-Islami in Pakistan and India, the most influential.

During World War II they backed the Nazis against the British. They were provided with a printing press by the Third Reich to print Arabic copies of Hitler’s book Mein Kampf and the notorious anti-Semitic forgery Protocols of the Elders of Zion.

They see Islam as a holistic system of life that must be implemented at every level. This includes the brutal hudud punishments such as amputations and the death penalty for adultery and blasphemy. However, they are aware that such ideas are unpopular so they seek first to Islamize the society through education. Although the group officially renounced violence in 1971, that seems to have been a practical decision. The group still believes that armed jihad is a legitimate way to achieve its goals when the time is right.

Following that they would implement their policies step-by-step, under their doctrine of gradualism. After the Egyptian revolution the group came to power in an election which attempted to implement this vision. It was deposed after one year because of their tyrannical policies.

They have branches in approximately 80 countries worldwide including the United States.

Is the Muslim Brotherhood Involved in Terrorism?

They have been the leading source of inspiration behind terrorist organizations such as al-Qaeda and its offshoot the Islamic State. Founder Hassan al-Banna and ideologue Sayyid Qutb wrote extensively on the importance of armed jihad. Qutb is also credited with the idea of modern political understanding of jahilliya, which holds that any government which does not implement sharia as state law is in a state of un-Islamic ignorance and should be opposed.

Osama bin Laden’s mentor, Abdullah Azzam, and the mastermind of 9/11, Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, were both members of the Muslim Brotherhood before they joined al-Qaeda.

The Muslim Brotherhood branch in Gaza, Hamas, is a terrorist organization which glorifies attacks on civilians and seeks to violently eradicate the state of Israel and commit massacres against the Jews living there.

Muslim-Brotherhood-linked entities in America and other countries have raised money for Hamas. The most famous case of this was the Holy Land Foundation Trial in 2007.

What are other governments doing about the Muslim Brotherhood?

The Muslim Brotherhood has been banned in Egypt, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates as a terrorist organization. The UAE ban included U.S. Muslim Brotherhood entities the Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR) and the Muslim American Society (MAS) as well as Islamic Relief Worldwide, which has sent money to Hamas.

Israel has also banned Islamic Relief Worldwide for funding Hamas.

The UK commissioned a report into the Muslim Brotherhood. While it stopped short of banning it as a terrorist organization, the British government rejected the myth that the Brotherhood is “moderate” along with the patently false notion that it is “non-violent.” The UK will keep the Muslim Brotherhood under review.

13 reasons to declare Muslim Brotherhood a terrorist organization

The Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt has been responsible for many political assassinations, attacks on churches and violent uprisings over the years. Known as the “Ikwan,” or “Brothers,” in the Middle East, they are feared by religious minorities of Christians, Shiite Muslims and Yazidis. President Trump has decided not to designate the Muslim Brotherhood as a foreign… (more…)

Why Is General Mattis Nominating the ‘Muslim Brotherhood’s Stooge’?

Why Is General Mattis Nominating the ‘Muslim Brotherhood’s Stooge’?

Secretary of Defense Jim Mattis’ pick for undersecretary of defense for policy, Anne Patterson, is problematic. Politico briefly explains why:

If nominated and confirmed, Patterson would hold the fourth most powerful position at the Pentagon — and would effectively be the top civilian in the Defense Department, since both Mattis and his deputy, Robert Work, were military officers.  As ambassador to Egypt between 2011 and 2013, Patterson worked closely with former Egyptian President Mohammed Morsi and his Islamist government. She came under fire for cultivating too close a relationship with the regime and for discouraging protests against it — and White House officials are voicing concerns about those decisions now.

This is putting it mildly. Back during the months leading to the June 30, 2013 revolution, Patterson — the “Brotherhood’s Stooge” as she was called by all, from news analysts to the Egyptian street — was arguably one of the most hated individuals by the millions of Egyptians who took to the streets against Morsi and the Brotherhood.

Not only did her face regularly appear next to Obama’s in placards; it sometimes appeared alone, indicating just how closely she was seen as supporting the Brotherhood. It should be noted that these were not isolated sightings, as shown by the number of different placards and signs:

Patterson with Muhammad Badie — supreme leader of the Muslim Brotherhood — currently serving a life sentence in prison for terrorism related charges in Egypt.

Below are just a few anecdotes that I had translated from Arabic language media before, during, and after the June 30, 2013 revolution that highlight Patterson’s unsavory ties to the Muslim Brotherhood.

In the days leading to the revolution, Patterson called on Egyptians not to protest. She even met with the Coptic pope and asked him specifically to urge the nation’s Christian minority not to oppose the Brotherhood — even though Christians were naturally going to suffer the most under Morsi, especially in the context of accusations of “blasphemy.”

In a live interview on Tahrir TV, political insider and former Egyptian Member of Parliament Mustafa Bakari exposed the relationship between Patterson and Khairat al-Shater, the deputy leader of the Muslim Brotherhood.  He said she was regularly seen going to and from the Brotherhood leader’s private residence, as opposed to meeting at the party’s headquarters. He said she told al-Shater “we [the U.S.] will stand with you [regarding the June 30 protests],” and that she treated the Brotherhood leader as the “true ruler of the nation.” Bakari concluded by saying:

[I]n fact, in my opinion, she is a member of the sleeper cells of the Brotherhood, likely recruited by Essam al-Erian or Muhammad al-Baltagi.

Soon after the revolution, she repeatedly tried to reinstate the Brotherhood to power.  Even Muhammad Heikal — “the Arab world’s most respected political commentator,” and for over 50 years an Egyptian political insider — said during a live interview that Patterson had assured the Muslim Brotherhood’s Hisham Qandil, who under Morsi was Egypt’s prime minister, that “there are many forms of pressure, and America holds the keys to the Gulf.”

Later, Patterson demanded that Egypt’s recently appointed supreme commander of the Egyptian Armed Forces, General Abdul Fatah al-Sisi, release all Muslim Brotherhood members currently being held for questioning:

And when Sisi rejected this order, the American ambassador began threatening him that Egypt will turn into another Syria and live through a civil war.

Another report said Patterson was “trying to communicate with General Sisi, demanding dialogue with the leaders of the Muslim Brotherhood, and concessions to them,” to which Sisi reportedly retorted:

Stop meddling in our affairs … the Egyptian people are capable of looking after their own welfare.

Because of all this, several of Egypt’s revolutionary forces, including Tamarod, which played a pivotal role in the June 30 Revolution, staged protests in front of the U.S. embassy in Cairo “calling for the ejection of ambassador Anne Patterson.”

In connection, Egyptian journalist Abdullah al-Sanawi said this on live TV:

Anne Patterson’s presence in Egypt has become a great burden for America, and Patterson should be admitted into a mental hospital for her deeds are full of bloodshed and the Obama administration is in a very awkward position in front of the whole world, the [U.S.] Congress and the Pentagon.

Soon thereafter, Youm 7, a popular newspaper in Egypt (then the sixth-most visited website in the nation according to Alexa.com), conducted a survey asking its readers:

Do you support the call to kick U.S. Ambassador Anne Patterson out because she interfered in Egyptian affairs?

A whopping 87.93% said yes, 10.54% said no, and 1.53% was indifferent. Youm 7’s audience is almost exclusively moderate, secular-leaning or Christian. It was the non-Islamists of Egypt that disliked the U.S. ambassador — not the Muslim Brotherhood, which benefited from her.

In 2013, even Foreign Policy, a publication notorious for always siding with establishment D.C., noted that Patterson was widely seen among Republicans “as the key implementer for a policy that at least offers tacit support to the Muslim Brotherhood.”

Such is the person that General Mattis wants to place in a top Pentagon position.

Huma Abedin’s Troubling Saudi Upbringing

Huma Abedin’s Troubling Saudi Upbringing

Which is synonymous with saying “ISIS upbringing.”

Allegations concerning Huma Abedin’s connections to Islamist groups and actors devoted to taking down America through a subversive jihad are no secret.  But for those in the know about Islam, its goals and methods—and especially the power of indoctrination—her life story is more than enough for concern.

C.A.I.R. is HAMAS: How the Federal Government Proved that the Council on American Islamic Relations is a Front for Terrorism

C.A.I.R. is HAMAS: How the Federal Government Proved that the Council on American Islamic Relations is a Front for Terrorism

(Washington, D.C.): Since its founding in 1993, the Council for American Islamic Relations (CAIR) has presented itself publicly as a benign Muslim American “civil rights organization.”  From that time to this, however, the United States government has known that CAIR actually is an entity founded by the Muslim Brotherhood’s Palestinian franchise: Hamas, a group officially designated since 1994 as a terrorist organization.
Evidence of CAIR’s true character as a U.S.-based instrument for political warfare and fundraising for Hamas – and the federal government’s certain knowledge of the truth – did not come to light until the largest terrorism financing trial in the nation’s history: the 2007-2008 Holy Land Foundation prosecution.  In the course of that trial, FBI Agent Laura Burns testified about, and helped explain, the transcripts of wiretap surveillance conducted in the course of two planning sessions leading up to the organizational meeting of CAIR held in Philadelphia in October 1993 and during the meeting itself.  Specifically, she presented proof that CAIR’s mission was to assist “Sister Samah,” its founders’ hardly opaque code-name for Hamas, as the prospect of its terror designation loomed.

Annotated highlights of the CAIR transcripts are now available for the first time, complete with relevant excerpts from Agent Burns’ testimony, in the latest product of the Center for Security Policy’s “Muslim Brotherhood Archival Series”: CAIR Is Hamas: How the U.S. Government Proved that the Council on American Islamic Relations is a Front for Terrorism. As with the first two publications in this series – “An Explanatory Memorandum”: From the Archives of the Muslim Brotherhood in America and Ikhwan in America: An Oral History of the Muslim Brotherhood in their Own Words, this new product from CSP Press is making accessible original source material together with professional analysis concerning the inner workings of the network the Muslim Brotherhood has operated in America for more than fifty years for the stated purpose of “destroying Western civilization from within.”[1]
Upon the release of CAIR is Hamas, Center for Security Policy President Frank Gaffney observed:
The production of this proof of CAIR’s jihadist nature is especially timely as legislatures in states around the country are considering resolutions seeking to discourage their agencies from interacting with this Hamas front and as the U.S. Congress considers legislation calling for the designation of the Muslim Brotherhood as a terrorist organization. CAIR is Hamas should be required reading for lawmakers, other officials at every level of government, the press and ordinary Americans misperceiving CAIR’s true jihadist and subversive nature.
CAIR is Hamas is available for purchase in Kindle and paperback format at Amazon.com. As with all editions of the Archival Series, can be downloaded for free here:

Civilization Jihad Reader Series part 3: Muslim Brotherhood in America – subverting Conservatives & the GOP

Muslim Brotherhood in America – the enemy within

The Muslim Brotherhood in America and all its affiliates and sons and daughter organisations is one of the biggest threats facing the USA at the moment.  Having watched the American election process closely it is obvious that the Democratic party is blinded by the threat that is facing them.  Obama’s lack of leadership has only advanced the work of the Muslim Brotherhood in the USA.

Conservatives seem to have a clear understanding of the issues facing them and there is hope if Trump wins the elections things may change.  Yet Conservatives should never forget you have a clever and powerful enemy working stealthily within American society in order to use American freedoms to destroy these very same American freedoms and way of life.

The Muslim Brotherhood’s Strategic Plan For America – Civilization – Jihadist Process

The link in this title will take you to The Clarion Project summary of their strategic planning process.  They are already eroding the foundational values of American (and Western in general) civilisation – Judeo-Christian culture, belief and practice.  In some parts of the country inroads

into the education system is massive (especially the universities).  They are seeking to steal the hearts and minds of the youth of America.   Do we actually know what our kids are being taught and all using American tax payers money?

Not ashamed of our culture

In my writings this is, and always will be, a recurrent theme. I love my culture and the freedoms it brings to every single person living within our borders.  My own specific sub-

SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERA

culture within Western culture is Ulster Scot and I am proud of the contribution we made in shaping modern Western culture. I will never let those who peddle a policy of self loathing for Judeo-Christian culture, among members of this culture, sway me to take on board this self loathing.  Many of our forefathers gave everything to protect and nurture the very culture that I am supposed to feel deep guilt and shame about.

Study brings knowledge, knowledge understanding, understanding wisdom

This is my mantra in life. Nothing comes free in life as the adage goes. Of course there is no guarantee that the three steps in this process automatically follow each other.  As a Christian I do not claim to be among the wise but I strive to be.  Neither do I claim to be wise when it comes to the way politics works (but not naive or completely ignorant either).  But I do believe God has imparted to me some insight into the world because I have learnt at the feet of Christ and of other great men and women.

`Do not deceive yourselves. If any of you think you are wise by the standards of this age, you should become “fools” so that you may become wise.  For the wisdom of this world is foolishness in God’s sight. As it is written: “He catches the wise in their craftiness”‘ (1 Corinthians 3:18-19).

I am not ashamed of my faith and I have the liberty in my own country (and in the States) not to be ashamed of it or feel fear because of it.  I also defend the right of others to have the same liberties as me and disagree with me on these matters if they so wish. This is the difference between a free society/culture and Islamic culture.

I never really knew that much about Islam until I started to work overseas.  I have close family members that grew up in Indonesia and I knew they had suffered because they were not Muslim

But it was only when I went to work in Indonesia (2 years) and then on to Sudan, Iraq (3 separate assignments), Lebanon,  Afghanistan and Somalia (plus trips to various Gulf states) that I began to understand what Islam was. Over years of experience living in societies controlled by sharia I have come to a point of clarity that this is the real threat to our culture and way of life.  Yet now it has made inroads to nearly every part of our society and is eating away at our cultural identity and the freedoms this guarantees us.

But nothing comes free!  We need to be informed about the battle we fight, and it is not just about this coming election.  This is a clash of cultures and we are losing battles.

But thankfully we have many tools and weapons at our disposal and the best weapon we

can have is knowledge and understanding of our enemy.   They have foolishly let us get a hold of their battle plan.  So we know their strategies and can counter them. Here is one that I personally have benefited a great deal from.  A masterly piece of work done by fine minds who know the enemy intimately and see clearly through the fog of misinformation and lies.  There are others as we know, like David Spencer, David Yerushalmi, David Horowitzs, Pamela Geller and Brigitte Gabriel (to name a few) who are all working to fight this fight. There are others of course and the left (cheered on and encourage by the Muslim Brotherhood) label those who speak the truth as hateful, bigoted, racist islamaphobes.  The SPLC has listed many of the female warriors (and do not get it wrong we are in a war for our culture).  I may not agree with everything that is said but they have the right to enter into the fray for us and I encourage everyone to do the same in whatever way we can.

Corruption Chronicles calls this `SPLC Issues Hit List of U.S. Women Against Sharia Lawbut it does not surprise me as such organisations hate our culture nearly as much as Islam does.

I have embedded a video that looks at the Moslem Brotherhoods work in undermining and influencing American Conservatives and each reader should make yourself, your family, your friends and everyone we know aware of it. Information is power.

The above is number 3 of ten and it is well worth your while investing a few hours of your time on them.

A concerted attack on the Gospel of Christ

In today’s world there is a headlong rush towards a false gospel  that tells us there are multiple ways to God that are valid.  CAIR in the States have been so good at their propaganda they have convinced many naive and ignorant Americans that Islam is just another way to God and that in fact Islam and Christianity are really worshiping the same god.  If you do not believe this you are a right wing bigot, racist and islamophobe (their favourite words for silencing people).
